This perennial project supports the ongoing rehabilitation and improvement of District facilities to extend their useful life and maintain safe, efficient operations. Facility rehabilitation efforts are designed to address aging infrastructure and ensure facilities remain in good working condition. While specific projects may vary from year to year, all improvements are scoped to be completed within a single fiscal year and may include structural repairs, system upgrades, or enhancements to security, accessibility, and operational functionality.
Additional improvements include exterior painting of plant facilities to protect surfaces and maintain appearance, slurry coating of parking areas to extend pavement life and improve durability, and wall extensions to increase retaining wall height for enhanced runoff mitigation and site drainage control. Improvements at the SNRC Administration Building consist of installation of concrete steps at the kitchen area to improve accessibility and safety. Finally, the project includes construction of curb extensions at Plant 39 to enhance traffic flow, delineation, and overall site functionality.
